The tumor marker DR-70 represents a group of malignancy-associated proteins that are actually fibrin degradation products (FDP). Their elevation mechanism involves: tumor cells stimulating the release of procoagulants like tissue factor and clotting factors, creating a hypercoagulable state with elevated fibrinogen and fibrin levels; simultaneously, tumor cells overexpress plasminogen activators (uPA, tPA) that enhance fibrinolysis, ultimately increasing serum FDP concentrations.
